Distinguished Staff, Dear Students of Accountancy Department, Members of the SIEC Committee, Outgoing Excos, and Accountancy Family, Good day to you all. I address you today with great joy as we prepare for a historic moment in our department. On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Accountancy Department will conduct her first-ever Departmental E-Voting for the election of new Executives. This is a bold step towards transparency, efficiency, and the adoption of technology in our democratic processes. I therefore encourage every eligible student to come out and vote. Exercise your franchise peacefully and responsibly. Elect leaders who will serve with integrity, vision, and commitment to the progress of our department. I must use this opportunity to appreciate our outgoing Executives for their service, dedication, and the foundation they have laid for the growth of the department. Special commendation goes to the NAPAS President, Comr. Okoli Chibuike H. Thank you for your outstanding leadership and for representing the students of Accountancy with dignity. To the SIEC Committee, I say thank you. Your hard work, impartiality, and commitment to delivering a credible e-voting process is highly commendable. Permit me also to rain praises on our amiable Rector, Dr. Irene Chioma Awuzie, Nwanyikaibeya Global, for her visionary and motherly leadership. Her efforts brought about the high-profile visit of First Lady of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu to Federal Polytechnic Oko last Thursday. That visit is a clear testimony to the rising profile of our institution under her administration. We are indeed proud and grateful for her sterling leadership. As we count down to Tuesday, September 15, 2026, I pray for a peaceful, free, fair and credible election.
